SDI La Farga LLC is a venture joining Steel Dynamics Inc., based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and The La Farga Group, based in Barcelona, Spain. La Farga’s roots go back more than 200 years to the time of the Napoleonic Wars. Steel Dynamics was founded in 1993 and has become one of the largest and most diversified steel companies in America. SDI La Farga in located in New Haven, IN.

Although Steel Dynamics and The La Farga Group have vastly different histories, they share the same goals: to provide the highest-quality products and unparalleled customer service, while being good stewards of the environment. In fact, the raw material we use to produce new fire-refined, high-conductivity (FRHC) copper is mostly reclaimed electrical wiring and plumbing in a variety of ISRI grades and forms.

SDI LaFarga produces copper rod, drawn solid wire, and can welding wire. We use state-of-the-art technology to refine all types of processed copper and to produce Cu-FRHC (furnace-refined, high-conductivity) products that are 99.9 percent pure and meet American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) B-49 standards. Our products are commonly used to make power cables and building wiring.

The La Farga Group, through its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and marketing of various types of copper products internationally.
