Brief Description:
• Responsible for hardware and software for Level 2 systems and network.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain SMS Mill Setup Level 2
• Provide main interface between Hot Mill and IT department
• Server Administration
• Database Administration
• Webpage Development
• Ability to troubleshoot automation problems and perform complex system tests.
• Strong Analytical and logical capabilities.
• Control System Theory
• Understanding of underlying mill control systems.
• Understanding of server hardware and RAID systems.
• Ability to work well/communicate with operations, maintenance, and quality personnel
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation
• Self-motivated with strong orientation for continuous improvement and innovation
Required
• Computer programming languages (C,C++, Fortran)
• Communication protocols (TCP, UCP)
• Server Administration (Linux, Server 2008, etc.)
• Database Administration (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Webserver (Linux, Apache, PHP)
Preferred
• BS in Engineering or Computer Science
• Knowledge of metal rolling process
• Knowledge of metal rolling process automation systems
•Experience with underlying mill control systems•
