Steel Dynamics Veteran Program is designed to attract, retain, and develop former military personnel, National Guard, and Reserve veterans.
Vision.
We are a leader among industry partners in supporting and attracting the military veteran community. This program will raise awareness about veterans’ proven performance and value in the civilian work sector.
Objectives.
We recognize and honor the service of United States military personnel on behalf of their country. We aim to assist veterans’ integration into the private sector economy. We will increase the diversity of our workforce through the development and implementation of the Veteran Program.

We Care About Service Members
We support our team members who serve in the military and are proud to offer pay replacement for training or active-duty assignments. If your military pay during leave is less than your base pay with Steel Dynamics, you will receive pay to ensure your total compensation is at least equal to the difference between your base pay at the start of your leave and your military earnings.
