James S. Anderson

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Construction Products Operations

James S. Anderson was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Construction Products Operations in September 2026. In this role, Mr. Anderson is responsible for the company’s four long product steel mills, a downstream steel finishing operation, a copper rod manufacturing facility, and executive oversight of the steel fabrication business. Prior to that, Mr. Anderson was Senior Vice President, Long Products Steel Group and was responsible for the company’s long product steel operations and the company’s copper rod manufacturing facility.

Mr. Anderson previously served as Senior Vice President, Steel Fabrication and was responsible for the company’s steel fabrication operations, comprised of seven steel joist and deck manufacturing facilities located throughout the U.S. and Mexico. Before that, Mr. Anderson held numerous operational and leadership roles including Vice President, Steel Fabrication, Chief Operating Officer of New Millennium Building Systems and was the general manager of The Techs three flat roll steel galvanizing lines.

Mr. Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Grove City College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
