Brief Description:
Responsible for assisting Safety and Health Department with day-to-day administrative operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and management of all corporate safety initiatives and programs including monthly objectives of the Corporate Safety Calendar. Audit follow-up tracking.
  • Assist with new hire orientation, third party training, and general Health or Safety training (scheduling, preparation/distribution of materials, facilitating training, tracking, reporting, etc.)
  • Manage employee Health & Safety training spreadsheets (maintenance, tracking, and reporting for Managers Meeting updates)
  • Order and maintain stock on various safety and medical supplies.
  • Assist with scheduling, assigning, and reporting status of safety management software – Intelex, MTS, Work Comp – ESIS).
  • Oversee administration of Contractor Safety Management Systems (ISNET) scheduling training, tracking Certificate of Insurance and Hold Harmless agreements, issuing contractor hard hat stickers.
  • Assist site Nurse as needed (RX safety glasses, molded hearing protection, drug/alcohol screenings)
  • Support Safety and Health Department with all applicable tasks as assigned.
  • Other plant/office administrative duties as needed; may include but are not limited to shipping/receiving, filing, coordinating training locations for visitors/contractors training.

Required:

  • Positive Attitude and ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi- task in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in administrative office management or related field.
  • Previous clerical/administrative experience.
  • Experience with safety related functions, such as training management systems.
  • Safety and/or medical experience.
